Why am I not able to order the Child Abuse Registry?

The Child Abuse Registry Search runs through a state’s Department of Children and Families database for specialized information regarding child abuse cases. The Child Abuse Registry Search is not usually recommended unless specific information regarding a known child abuse case is needed. This is because it is an expensive search with very long turnaround time. In addition, the great majority of applicants will not appear on the Child Abuse Registry, and any cases that may be in the Child Abuse Registry will likely be in a court database as well.
