Order a Background Check Through CCB

After you've completed the integration set up between Church Community Builder and Protect My Ministry, wait until the Sign Up Team has confirmed that the account is synced up and ready to go.

  • Log into Church Community Builder and pull up the applicant's profile in CCB


  • Under the Custom Fields, click on the "Proceed" link
    • If this is your first time ordering a background check for the session, you will get a Protect My Ministry log in page. Use the username and password from the Sign Up emails you got to log in or created yourself through our Ministry Mobilizer. 


  • There will be an Actions Menu with the options to "Order Background Check" or to "Send Link to Applicant" (only available for Bundle 2 and higher).

Order Background Check

  • You will be prompted to enter in the rest of the applicant's information
    • If your account is not at a Bundle 2 subscription, you will need to collect the applicant's information and consent on paper forms.
  • Choose the background check service to order on the applicant
    • Plus - national criminal search, national sex offender registry, SSN Trace, one county or statewide search
    • Auto County 7 years- SSN trace, national criminal search and national sex offender registry plus all counties the applicant has lived in for the past 7 years according to the SSN trace. 
    • Other packages available; Contact your Salesperson to discuss the package that best meets your needs. 

Online Consent Form Link

  • Under the Action menu there will be a Send Link to Applicant option.
  • Make sure that at least the applicant's first name, last name, and email address are entered. 
  • The applicant will receive an email with the link to the Online Form.
  • Once the applicant completes the Online Consent Form, you will get an email notification.
    • The status in CCB will go from Proceed to Awaiting.
  • You will need to click on Awaiting to order the background check on the applicant unless you have your account set up to automatically order the package. If you would like this option, please contact support@protectmyministry.com.

View Results

  • Log into Church Community Builder and pull up the applicant's profile in CCB
  • Under the About tab, you will see "PMM Report" and a "Complete" link
  • The Complete link will take you to where you can view the completed report
    • You may get the PMM login page


  • Clicking the "View Report" link will show all background checks requested
  • There will be a green "C" to click on to view the background check
